System Engineer - Level 5 (5G Testbed) / Air Force

Kenjya-Trusant has an opening for a System Engineer to support the Air Force 5G Smart Warehouse Prototype. KTG will design and develop the 5G Testbed prototype in Annapolis Junction, MD, then deliver the Testbed to enhance Air Force 5G operations at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden Utah. The objectives of this effort are to demonstrate how 5G communications technologies can support realistic distributed training and develop deployable equipment and systems to integrate these technologies into ongoing training operations.

POSITION:  System Engineer Level 5
LOCATION: Annapolis Junction, MD

This Opportunity is in BID status.  Estimated award and start of contract is 4th Quarter 2020.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Provides lead engineering to design smart warehouse 5G smart technologies
  • Produce End-to-end Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for an automated warehouse
  • Establish and maintain a System Requirements Traceability Matrix (STRM)
  • Develop an Architectural Design Traceability Matrix (ADTM)
  • Conduct System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) review
  • Develop open standard format requirements
  • Document and use open, standards-based software and hardware interfaces
  • Implement a model-based engineering approach; provide direct access to the Integrated Model Environment (IME); produce Model artifacts
  • Develop a System Architectural model
  • Develop Cameo Systems Modeler compatibility
  • Deliver a Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessment
  • Support design of 5G wireless network
  • Produce system design drawings
  • Deliver design review package 10 days prior to review
  • Present and gain government design approval
  • Produce and execute an experimentation test plan
  • Conduct integrated system demonstrations
  • Attend monthly In-Process-Reviews (IPRs) with the Government team
  • Attend meetings, support conferences and working groups
  • Obtain Government team approval for and deliver Software Version Documents (SVD) for software releases
  • Verify compliance IAW with EO 13873
  • Conduct security review
  • Prepare and/or provide updates to requisite deliverables to include:
    • Bi-weekly status reports
    • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
    • Systems Engineering Management Plan(SEMP)
    • Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
  • Deliver all software, hardware, infrastructure, and documentation at the completion of Testbed phase
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with design, testing and implementation of application technologies and systems utilizing smart warehouse 5G smart technologies
  • Agile project management experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • B.S. Degree in System Engineering, Network Engineering, Communications Engineering, Software Engineering
  • Minimum 10-15 years of 4G/5G wireless experience
