(TCC) Construction Quality Assurance Manager

KTG is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Manager in San Antonio, TX to support KTG’s federal customer.  Support will include daily on-site performance of program management; quality assurance management; quality control inspections monitoring and reporting; general contractor progress; and evaluating the compliance of the general contractor and sub-contractors with construction plans.

*Note* This position is a backfill for a current employee who will be retiring.  Position will become available December 2024.  Must have a minimum Top Secret Clearance when applying; must have Full Scope Polygraph by December 2024
 
DUTIES:

  • Review Design Documents and Shop Drawings
  • Designer and Contractor Coordination

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Clearance

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree; or
  • High School or Associate’s degree + Certification
  • Certification

  • Construction Quality Management Certification (preferred)
  • Certified Construction Manager
  • Experience

  • 10+ years of experience providing QA/QC support on multi-use buildings, warehouses, utility yards, utilities, substations, visitor control centers, and/or Perimeter, Security, and Surveillance
  • 10+ years of experience developing Construction Quality Control plans and monitoring the activities of prime contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project and contract requirements
  • Experience with managing work schedule, costs, cash flow, safety programs, and quality control systems
  • Knowledge of building construction, foundations, building systems (electrical, HVAC, fire protection, communications, etc.), and utilities techniques
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to the client and provide alternative solution identification for various systems, and independent construction cost estimates
  • Electronic management tools; Resident Management System, Building Information Systems, and other similar tools
  • Experience with Government (DOD, IC) projects is a plus
  • Skills

  • Understanding of construction plans and specifications
