(FN) Senior Construction Inspector (TS/SCI)
Annapolis Junction, Maryland · Construction/FacilitiesThe Kenjya-Trusant Group is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Senior Construction Inspector to support multi-discipline Architectural/Engineering services for projects located in the Fort Meade, Maryland and in surrounding areas, as well as other sites within the Continental United State (CONUS) or sites outside the Continental United Status (OCONUS).

Job Description
- Review all start-up procedures, including Electrical, HVAC Equipment and HVAC Control.
- Coordinate with the Government COR for the inspection of all construction efforts and provide comments/recommendations.
- Visit the site to conduct commissioning “readiness” assessments.
- Perform site visits, to observe component and system installations. Attend selected planning and job-site meetings to obtain information on construction progress. Review construction-meeting minutes for revisions/substitutions relating to the commissioning process. Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Witness all or part of the HVAC piping test and flushing procedure, sufficient to be confident that proper procedures were followed. Document this testing and include documentation in O&M manuals. Notify Government COR of any deficiencies in results or procedures.
- Witness all or part of any ductwork testing and cleaning procedures, sufficient to be confident that proper procedures were followed. Document this testing and include documentation in O&M manuals. Notify Government COR of any deficiencies in results or procedures.
- Review testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) execution plan.
- Oversee sufficient functional testing of the control system and approve it to be used for TAB, before TAB is executed.
- Approve air and water systems balancing by spot testing and by reviewing completed reports and by selected site observation. Sample or witness at least 10%, and up to 100% of the readings, depending upon the complexity and sensitivity of the project.
- Test and monitor the Indoor environment.
- Prepare commissioning meeting minutes.
- Review all Factory Acceptance Test plans, procedures and test results
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years' field trade in either electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, or architectural facilities construction and/or supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of construction inspection principles, facilities engineering technologies (mechanical, electrical, building), quality assurance/quality control methodologies and applicable building codes and standards required.
Education Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent and completion of a building trade journeyman accreditation
Certifications/Registrations
- Certified Construction Inspector (CCI)
