JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Kenjya-Trusant Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team.
- Provide systems engineering principles to various systems throughout the entire systems life cycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, and support.
- Interact with a large number of Government and development personnel regarding technical considerations for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Personal communication with peer and decision makers will be required to carry out duties, as well as written documentation.
- Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
- Prepare configuration documentation and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.
- Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM database.
- Schedule audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items.
- Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of CM tools.
- Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools.
- Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.
- Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments.
- Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 years of general systems engineering experience or;
- A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of general systems engineering experience or;
- A Master’s degree or PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 13 years of general systems engineering experience.
INDIVIDUAL CAPABILITIES/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue and evaluating requirements to determine system suitability.
- Qualified candidates should have experience in general systems engineering, collection management, and asset or requirement allocation.
- Ability to translate directives from higher level mission management systems using protocols.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with Linux.
