JOB DESCRIPTION:  
As an Overhead SIGINT Systems Engineer on our team you will support the customer leadership team in all facets of managing the Overhead access portfolio.  You will be responsible for a large, dynamic range of projects / tasks supporting the effusion operation of the Sensor Data Operations (SDO) group and ensure that the SDO’s equities in multi-Agency Overhead access interactions are managed effectively.  The primary focus for the SDO technical advisor include but are not limited to: System Engineering and Technical Assistance support of all faces of SDO’s relation with the National Reconnaissance office (NRO) and other elements of the IC involved in Overhead activities spanning the tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination cycle; supporting SDO Leadership engagement on high-visibility IC initiatives, high-priority cross-site / cross-directorate projects, multi-INT and cross access initiatives.  An emphasis is placed on an ability to look across the SDO portfolio and identify opportunities to integrate Overhead operations into corporate enterprise solutions.  In addition, the individual will become familiar with the current and future architectures of the systems and prepare documentation for leadership use.    

INDIVDUAL CAPABILITIES / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Extensive experience with systems engineering processes that support planning, scheduling, and managing review and meeting events as well as portfolio management.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance.

  • Well-grounded in system engineering, compliance, and Overhead architecture.
  • Experience in collaborating with peer organizations to overcome barriers to success and create shared solutions.
  • Experience with interagency and leadership interactions
  • Preparation of Review and Meeting materials
