JOB SUMMARY:
The Kenjya-Trusant Group is seeking a
Senior Architectural & Engineering Manager to provide support to AFCEC/CFTP onsite at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, TX.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule, organize, and conduct meetings that include, but are not limited to the following: (1) Coordination Meetings, (2) Staff Meetings, (3) Progress Meetings, (4) Design Review Meetings, (5) Construction Review Meetings
- Provide technical expertise to the government in specified meetings with subject matter expert-level knowledge.
- Participate in meetings to review program and project level activities for AFCEC/CFTP.
- Capture and deliver minutes of these meetings, upon request.
- Provide resources knowledgeable in architecture and engineering to ensure effective meetings with customers, regulators, engineers, and the public, as applicable.
- Upon request, facilitate meetings by establishing agendas, delivering technical presentations, making recommendations for technical issues, and providing meeting minutes.
- Support the COR/PMO at conference and meetings.
- Meeting setup and invitation, coordination, facilitation, as well as deliverables (graphics, audiovisual equipment, study materials, record keeping, etc.).
- Develop and recommend reconstruction requirements.
- Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs.
- Develop work statements.
- Develop design and work statement & construction cost estimates.
- Develop project schedules based on design and work statement requirements
- Develop bid schedules.
- Review and make recommendations on contractor schedule and cost proposals.
EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with federal design and construction contracts.
- Experience providing oversight of A/E design.
- Knowledge and experience providing technical training, lessons learned, and best practices to technical and project management staff.
- Knowledge of Facility and Building Systems – Roofing, Building Envelope, Interior Construction, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), Building automation, etc…
- Experience applying the Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria and Uniform Facilities Guide Specifications to complex facility construction projects.
EDUCATION:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Construction Industry related discipline.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum ten (10) years of Program Management experience, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in A& AS Program Management.
- Twenty (20) years’ of A& AS Project Management support can be substituted for the ten (10) years Program Management experience.
- Current active Registered Professional Engineer or Registered Architect License is required.
- Demonstrable experience & understanding of applicable standards.
- Ability to organize and gather project data, conduct analysis, prepare reports and provide recommendations without assistance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to utilize and apply computer software skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Autodesk AutoCAD 2013, etc…
- Successful completion of a T-1 Trustworthiness background check for a Common Access Card (CAC), or the ability to obtain one.
- Motivated self-starters requested.
