POSITION:  Configuration Manager III (High Performance Computing Program)
LOCATION:  Annapolis Junction/Fort Meade, MD 20701

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide configuration management support for the High Performance Computing Program Management Office. The incumbent Configuration Management employee shall:
  • Lead the Systems Engineering (SE) and programmatic processes of configuration management, including both hardware and software, and inventory activities
  • Provide recommendations to the Program Office for CM process improvement
  • Facilitate the scaling of CM activities over a multi-year, multi-deployment, multi-baseline program
  • Support the Configuration Control Process and provide applicable configuration documents

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
 
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required with eight (8) years of CM experience
  • A Master's Degree may be substituted for two years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six (6) years
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a combined total of twelve (12) years of experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required (with Bachelor's Degree)
  • With a relevant Master's Degree, a candidate will only need six (6) years of experience.
  • Candidate must also have a minimum of five (5) or more years of experience using ClearCase and ClearQuest.
 
 
PREFERRED SKILLS (desired, but not mandatory):
  • Familiar with web administration and development
