Objective:


The Kenjya-Trusant Group is seeking a cleared Video Production Assistant - Level I to provide professional video production services supporting the Department of State in Washington, D.C.

Position Requirements:

VIDEO PRODUCTION ASSISTANT - Level I - Some high-level knowledge and professional experience preferred in all or most of qualifications below:
  1. Create simple digital-first content optimized for social media engagement.
  2. Assist in producing short and long-form programming using mixed media, including live streaming production using interactive elements (e.g. web chats) and animation and contribute to videos and programs social media marketing and distribution.
  3. Highly skilled in performing hands-on production functions of equipment to include but not limited to: cameras, switchers, teleprompter, audio and lighting set-up including green screen and operations including live-streaming productions.
  4. Technical proficiency in non-linear video editing using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and plugins such as Red Giant.
  5. Assist producers on versioning, timing and reviewing videos into their seven (7) languages using MacCaption.
  6. Technical proficiency shooting video in field production and live studio productions.
  7. Work closely with Office staff to maintain and develop the technical capabilities of video production field and edit gear and Studio (e.g. green screen shooting and lighting). Ensure industry standards are met while also meeting the unique challenges of reaching audiences in low-bandwidth areas.
  8. Manage video assets using a media asset management (MAM) system - e.g. complying with IIP standards and performing metadata tagging of raw media and finished videos for distribution on different digital platforms.
  9. Position is physically demanding. Production Assistants are required to haul and set up camera, ground-support, audio and lighting equipment as necessary for both studio and field productions and to strike, pack, return and properly stow equipment after use.
  10. Train others on elementary production principles, captioning programs and versioning processes of videos.
  11. Assists with annual inventory and keeps government equipment clean and organized.
  12. Public diplomacy experience preferred.
  13. Travel is required (national and international) and may be on short notice. May include weekend work and long days.
  14. Professional training preferred.
