POSITION: Systems Engineer Level 2 LOCATION: Annapolis Junction, MD REQUIRED CLEARANCE:TS/SCI with Full Scope S Polygraph
Requires an understanding of the NSA’s missions and organizations.
Experience in enterprise architecture and process development will be necessary to enable Senior Level Government customers to complete mission critical work.
Provide extensive coordination across multiple Regional Operation Centers to meet organizational and mission goals.
Support the development of organization implementation plans, work breakdown structures, milestones, and schedules
Assist in risk identification, developing decision points, identifying deliverables, determining and monitoring measures of performance and effectiveness.
Provide both verbal and written reports and/or briefings directly to organizational Senior Leadership. Your reports could be used to brief at the highest levels of NSA, including DIRNSA, and the Pentagon.
Provide communications with other program personnel, Government overseers, and Senior Executives.
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. You must be able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment; Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Detail oriented and proficiency in MS Project a plus.
Analyzing user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyzing system requirements and leads design and development activities.
Guiding users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Providing technical direction and advice for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporating new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
Developing technical documentation.
Developing system Architecture and system design documentation.
Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Interacting with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering (SE), Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; in addition to seven (14) years experience as a Systems Engineer (SE).
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
