Job Description:

Kenjya-Trusant is seeking a candidate to fill the role Cyber Security Analyst to support our Department of State client in improving management, strengthening integrity and accountability, and ensuring the most efficient, effective, and economical use of resources.  Responsibility includes conducting and reporting on audits, inspections, investigations, and special inquiries. 
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical support to the criminal investigators, by applying and integrating technological capabilities through every aspect of electronic data acquisition, case investigation, and litigation.
  • Conducts cyber incident and event analysis and investigation.
  • Utilize the network active directory to ascertain user profiles.
  • Utilize Microsoft Exchange to obtain user mailboxes.    
  • Retrieve data from network users by utilizing forensics tools or enterprise systems.
  • Perform research on current and innovative systems security techniques and methodologies and recommend solid solutions.
  • Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and/or network vulnerabilities, data hiding and encryption.
  • Develop new tools, techniques, training, and countermeasures for computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding and encryption, and investigates computer and network intrusions.
  • Identify, prioritize, and track relevant cyber events, potential security and policy violations, incidents, and other anomalous activity.
  • Brief senior leadership on activities and status. Fully document all work performed in support of investigations.
Required Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a system administration, network administration, or security architecture
  • 2+ years of experience with SPLUNK, IBM SPSS Modeler, VMWare
  • Experience with Law Enforcement processes and procedures
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Operating System administration
  • Detail-oriented and have a strong delivery performance (ability to meet deadlines and requests efficiently, and multi-task and establish priorities)
  • Experience in behavioral, audit, security, and/or policy compliance analysis
  • Ability to work well with and accept challenges in a fast paced, dynamic, team-based environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand various customer systems
